I’m Vivienne, I’m a mother of 3, (the eldest is now an adult and living in her own home). I’m 44 years old and life is changing fast. It’s an exciting time to be me. My children are growing up and before I know it they’ll all have gone off into the big wide world. I’m starting to get ready to be me, to be called Viv more than I’m called Mum. I’m working hard to be ready when that time comes, I passed my second OU course in the summer, giving me a Certificate of Higher Education and I’m now studying full time at the University of the West of England on a joint honours degree in Journalism and Media & Cultural Studies. 2011 was a year of big changes, some of them really scary…who knows what 2012 might bring.

Hi Vivienne,
I’m Mandi, a middle aged (46 in December), overweight, often knackered, mother of 1 teenage boy (2 if you count his father). I work a too many hours a week, I don’t study enough, I whinge a lot when the mood takes me.
I think we could be cyber soul-mates, so I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog. Maybe you’d like to check my out too some time.
Oh, and by the way. I’m born and bred in the south of England but for the past 21 years I’ve been living the Life Bilingual with the Ovver Arf in Athens, Greece. That means I sometimes rant or waffle on about Greel life, and am mysteriously out of touch with British popular culture (phew!).
